Book Reviews.

E: A Novel by Matt Beaumont
Took me quite some time to find it in NLB cause NLB keyed in the author as "Matthew Beaumont".

Borrowed it and realised I have read this book before! Back in J2, I think. Thought it was crap back then and returned it within 3 days.

On the second read, I rather like it. Lots of witty comments and office politics. Best thing about this book is that it's actually written in the form of emails. Takes quite some time before you get used to which e-mail belongs to who. But when you finally do, it's a hilarious and engaging read(:

Besides, I realised I am rather like Pinki Fallon in the book. Always ending my e-mails/sms-es with a (: even when the message is possibly lethal. Opps.

The Book, the Film, the T-shirt by Matt Beaumont
I found this book before I found E: A Novel. The book title attracted me. See, the importance of a good title!

It tells the filming of a commercial from the POV of many many different characters. From the director to the cook on the TV set.

Not too bad. But sometimes, it can get kind of draggy and some of the characters are totally unnecessary (e.g. the cook).

I am on the hunt for books again! Book recommendations are more than welcomed!
