The Celebrity Apprentice

I have long since given up on "The Apprentice" since Season 4? Or some other season. There's this period of time where there's just too many reality shows on TV and they are starting to merge into one another.

But, someone (I think it was Daryl) recommended this season to me some time back. And I saw Ivanka Trump on The Ellen Show and quite liked her. So I decided to give it a shot.

Boy, was I entertained. The celebrities are not really famous but they have brains and character.

I like Piers Morgan, Trace Adkins, Marilu Henner and Lennox Lewis! Omarosa irritates the hell out of me as always. Didn't like her in season one, don't like her now.

Don't really like the idea of how Piers Morgan was always portrayed as the Devil and everything. I mean, let's face it. It's business. You do what you have to do. Come on! Not everyone can play Mr Nice Guy and succeed like Trace!

Episodes to look out for - Episode 5: The Crocs and the Rat (loved it! once you decided to be a spy, there's no going back!) , Episode 6: Window of Oppurtunity (when Lennox Lewis took over as project manager), Episode 7: The Mane Event (I really feel like slapping Omarosa), Episode 10: Painting by Numbers (Just because she got fired!) and the Season Finale (I love Trace in that episode!).

Quotable Quote: "....so the most heterosexual cowboy on the planet and the 3 time heavyweight champion of the world, go to buy finger nail polish. Not for our wives. For a man.."

Overall Ratings: 4.5 fingernail polish out 5! It's a MUST-WATCH!


The Invasion

The sister unit rented this show from VideoEzy. I don't get it. She can never understand Thriller movies but she loves to watch them. Hmm.. But ANYWAY! The brother unit loves the show so since I had nothing to watch while having dinner, I popped it into the DVD Player.

Not too bad, I guess. Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig can act. I'm serious. The storyline is not really fantastic. It's "almost" like Resident Evil but minus the blood and the gore. If not for the actors, the show might be a tad boring.

Imagine not being able to sleep. Imagine having to pretend to be emotionless so as not to be infected. Nightmare.

The ending was kind of quick. Frankly, I like more of an explanation of how they found it. More science terms or more psychology terms. But oh wells.

The show basically revolves around the idea (quote from the show), "...civilization crumbles whenever we need it most. In the right situation, we are all capable of the most terrible crimes. To imagine a world where this was not so, where every crisis did not result in new atrocities, where every newspaper is not full of war and violence. Well, this is to imagine a world where human beings cease to be human..."

Overall Ratings: 3 popcorns out of 5. Watch it when you have time.
